Julie Anne Smith, Vice-President & Chief Commercial Officer
Ms. Smith has extensive experience in global commercialization and new product launches. Most recently she was VP, Commercial for Jazz Pharmaceuticals Inc., where she oversaw commercial strategy and operations for marketed and development products. Prior to that she was VP, Global Marketing for Genyzme’s largest therapeutic business unit. At Genzyme she was responsible for the global commercialization of Myozyme®, an enzyme replacement therapy for the rare neuromuscular disorder, Pompe. Ms. Smith was a member of the management team at Novazyme, a biotech company acquired by Genzyme in 2001. Ms. Smith began her marketing career at Bristol-Myers Squibb. She received her Bachelors of Science degree from Cornell University.
